I am Amanda, the photographer behind Emberwood.

Babies. Motherhood. Connection. The quiet, tender moments that change everything. From the moment I first picked up a camera, this was always where my heart belonged.

I understand that feeling more deeply than most.

I have spent twenty years navigating infertility and pregnancy loss.

Twenty years of hoping, waiting, grieving and somehow still believing. That journey changed me in ways I am still discovering, and it shaped the photographer I became in ways I never expected.

It taught me that some of the parents sitting in front of my camera

have fought incredibly hard to arrive at that moment. Some have endured IVF, miscarriage, stillbirth or losses they have never spoken about out loud.

Some are still carrying fear, even while holding their baby safely in their arms.

I photograph with that understanding in my heart. Always. Every baby who enters my studio matters deeply to me. That is not a line. It is my lived truth.

Emberwood sessions are slow, calm and entirely baby-led. There is no clock watching, no pressure, no frustration when babies cry. There is room for feeds, for settling, for emotion, for the moments that happen between the poses. Those are often the ones that matter most.

My work is rooted in storytelling. Every photograph is created to reflect

not only how your moments looked, but how they felt.

Honest, emotive and deeply personal.

What families remember most is rarely the pose itself.

They remember how they felt in your presence.
