I'm based in Oran Park, right in the heart of the Camden area, and I photograph families just like yours every single day. New babies, growing bumps, kids who won't sit still and parents who can't quite believe how fast it's all going. If you're looking for a photographer who will make you feel at ease, have a laugh with your kids and leave you with photos that actually look like your family, you're in the right place.

I started Emberwood Photography because I believe these ordinary, everyday moments are anything but ordinary. The way your toddler reaches up for your hand. The weight of a newborn on your chest. The look your partner gives you when they think no one's watching. I'm here to capture all of it, quietly and without fuss, so you can just be present and let the rest unfold naturally.

The Duck Pond at Arcadian Hills


This place has the most beautiful soft light and it feels genuinely peaceful. The red rock path adds something really special too, it gives you that gorgeous earthy warmth that you just can't replicate anywhere else. Kids love exploring it and it makes for the most beautiful natural backdrop. One of my absolute favourites for maternity and family sessions.

The views from up here are something else. Wide open sky, gorgeous late afternoon light and enough space for kids to roam while we get the good stuff. Beautiful for maternity sessions too.

There's something timeless about this park. Big old trees, open lawns and that beautiful dappled light that makes every photo feel a little bit dreamy. It's one of those spots that works for everyone, from tiny newborns on a blanket to big families who just need room to breathe.

Based in Oran Park, Shooting Across the Camden Region

Newborn sessions are held in my in home studio in Oran Park or in your own home

My studio is a calm, quiet space designed with new parents in mind. It is warm, unhurried and completely focused on your baby. I also offer in home newborn sessions for families who would prefer to be photographed in their own space, which can feel really special and personal in those early days. Oran Park is just a short drive from Camden, Narellan, Gregory Hills, Harrington Park, Gledswood Hills, Mount Annan and surrounding suburbs, so whether we shoot at my studio or yours, you won't have far to travel when you're in those precious early days. Newborn sessions are best booked during pregnancy and photographed between 5 and 14 days old. I will guide you through everything on the day so you can just soak it all in.

Maternity and family sessions are photographed outdoors across the Camden and Macarthur region or in your own home

I know this region like the back of my hand and I love helping families find the perfect spot for their session. Whether you're drawn to open fields, shady parks or something with a view, there is a location here that will suit your family perfectly. I also offer in home maternity and family sessions for those who want something a little more intimate and personal. There is something really beautiful about being photographed in the space where your family actually lives, the worn in couch, the morning light through the kitchen window, the chaos and the calm of it all. I photograph across Camden, Narellan, Arcadian Hills, Gregory Hills, Harrington Park, Gledswood Hills, Mount Annan, Spring Farm, Ellis Lane, Cobbitty and Elderslie. If you have a spot that is special to your family, I am always open to exploring somewhere new together.
